Esquires Coffee Houses’ Shepherd’s Bush branch has received a Gold accolade at the Café Society Awards 2012, in the Café Design Category.

When this branch opened in August last year it launched a brand new look and feel for the coffee shop chain, which currently has 34 franchise units across the UK.

Featuring comfortable and communal seating, warm earthy tones and a collection of natural materials, this new design concept will now inspire all future store layouts for Esquires. It can also be seen in the network’s most recent store, which celebrated a successful opening in Lancaster last month.

Up against tough competition, Esquires caught the judges’ attention for the ‘exceptional effort the team had made in the new design of the outlet’, producing a contemporary but welcoming feel to the café.

Mariusz Uszakiewicz, the Store Manager of Esquires Shepherd’s Bush, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our store design and we’ve always taken great pleasure in hearing the favourable comments we receive from our customers here in West 12.

“Making people feel comfortable and welcome is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have in the café business and to be recognised for this at an industry level is a fantastic feeling. We’d like to thank all the judges for their wonderful feedback and we can’t wait to place our certificate in pride of place in the coffee house.”

Peter Kirton, Managing Director of Esquires Coffee UK, added: “I’m extremely proud of the Shepherd’s Bush team and what we have achieved with our new look store. We invested a great deal of time and effort in creating our new layout and this award, along with the response from customers, shows just how worthwhile it’s all been.”
