What will you require?
The new owner will require good sales, business and presentational skills ideally - but not necessarily - combined with some personal experience of the franchise industry. The business is currently operated from a home office by one person working full-time and, under the terms of its franchise licence, must continue to be located within the East or West Midlands region.
FDS Midlands recent history
During each of the past five years, sales turnover has been more than £300,000 and net profit before tax has exceeded £100,000. Much of the advertising revenue is of a recurring nature and relationships with the clients have been built on mutual respect over a number of years. There is also considerable potential to further increase the amount of consultancy work undertaken because recently this has been limited by ill health of the present owner.
Purchase price
The purchase price will be realistically negotiated as an agreed multiple of net profit before tax and the actual purchase could be phased over an agreed period between 6 and 12 months. During this hand-over period the present owner would be happy to provide a substantial amount of training and personal hands-on assistance with all aspects of the business.
