Focus On You launches first franchises

Christine and Liz will challenge the traditional retail and hands-off online experience's through Focus On You's new approach: taking eyewear selection and purchase into people's homes, leisure clubs and workplaces. "We believe we have the vision to remove the stress and impersonality from eyewear selection and make this business a success," said Focus Managing Director Peter Bartholomew. "Our research shows some consumers feel pressured or rushed into buying spectacles. What better way therefore than to have friends and family helping you, in a relaxed, fun and familiar environment?"
Franchise owners offer a selection of around 120 carefully selected designer frames through networking and setting up events in non-traditional locations such as gyms, hotels, workplaces and even people's homes, where guests are invited to try on the frames in the company of friends, family or colleagues.
"Our USP is that we can offer designer spectacles up to 40 per cent cheaper and still give outstanding eye care support," said Christine. "Buying glasses can be fun. Our selling environment is very tactile and our customers come away completely happy with their purchases - not just making do. It's a new and satisfying experience for them."
