With the National Franchise Exhibition fast approaching and more than 250,000 people in the UK actively looking into owning their own franchise business, now is the time for franchisors to seek out potential franchise owners and promote their business opportunities.
On Friday 24th September, Norwich-based Franchise Development Services (FDS) published the first comprehensive report reviewing all aspects of the UK franchise industry, containing invaluable information for franchisors and those involved in the franchise industry.
The report, produced by MBA students from the Norwich Business School at the University of East Anglia (UEA), launches National Franchise Week, which will take place from September 27th to October 3rd. It demonstrates that franchising is the safest way to start a business - some 90 per cent of new franchise businesses succeed.
For those already involved in the franchise industry, it is evident that franchise business models can create successful and profitable businesses. However, potential franchise owners, who may be new to the concept of franchising, may need reassurance about the industry in which they intend to invest their time and money.
With this newly published report, conveying promising statistics for the future of franchising, franchisors can confidently inform new franchise owners of the benefits and success of the franchise business model.
The report, Insight: An industry review of Franchising in the UK 2010, analyses historic, present and future trends in the UK franchise market incorporating the views of franchisors, franchise owners and banks with specialist franchise finance departments.
Managing Director of FDS, Roy Seaman said: "The franchise industry's good health is evident in the East of England with Norwich, 'Franchise City' at its heart - home to more than 100 retail franchise brands within the city walls. So far this year 10 new franchisors have entered the market in the East of England, providing increasing opportunities for people to own their own business. In addition, with our help, 75 new franchise businesses have launched in the region.”
The Insight: An industry review of Franchising in the UK 2010 report, costing £495, will be offered at £125 during National Franchise Week, to readers of The Franchise Magazine.
