Green Thumb buys 500th Mercedes van

Lawn treatment franchise GreenThumb has purchased its 500th Mercedes Vito van which, the company reports, makes it the operator of the UK's largest fleet of Mercedes vans.

The 500th van was delivered to Tom Pearon, who operates the Bournemouth branch of GreenThumb. Across the country the fleet is used to help lawn technicians carry out more than 5,000 treatments every day.

'This is quite an honour,' says Tom Pearon, GreenThumb franchisee. 'It's the third van for our region here and it shows how much the company is growing both locally and nationally. We're absolutely delighted with the reliability of these vehicles. It's crucial to our success that customers can depend on us and in turn we need to depend on the equipment we use to do the job.'
