Former HiQ Retail Director becomes franchisee
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK has confirmed that the first successful bidder for a regional HiQ franchise zone is former HiQ Retail Director, Chris Kisby. Chris is keen to operate the franchise zone that covers the South, East and West Midlands and has stepped down from his position to avoid any conflict of interest. Chris has gained a wealth of experience with the Goodyear group, as the UK Sales and Marketing Director, European Brand Director, Managing Director for Russia, Belarus and Central Asia and heading the HiQ Retail network.
Group Managing Director Mark Brickhall says: 'Our HiQ Accelerated Franchise Programme has been hugely successful with our regional zones being oversubscribed with bids. I am delighted that Chris is the first successful named bidder, as he has been an integral part of our success, and in particular HiQ's growth, for many years. I'm confident that his knowledge, experience and, above all, focus on contributing to a stronger future HiQ network will ensure that both his personal business ambitions and our network growth plans will be highly successful.'
Over the next few weeks, Goodyear Dunlop will interview and assess the successful chosen bidders for every HiQ region. Once this phase is completed the regional franchise partners will be named.
Chris explains his decision to invest with HiQ: 'With thirty years of experience in running business units across Europe with Goodyear Dunlop, I am now fulfilling my ultimate ambition of running my own regional tyre retailing business. I know that there is huge potential to grow this business and drive the network forward. I have worked with many of the HiQ Team in the past, many of whom I know personally. I respect their commitment to the business and HiQ concept, and I look forward to this new challenge.'
