Providing a surface cleaning service to both commercial and domestic customers, Hydro-Dynamix franchisees enjoy great earning potential

Although there are numerous cleaning franchises available in the UK, most only deal with either domestic or commercial customers. By providing a service to both sectors however, Hydro-Dynamix greatly enhances its franchisees' earning potential. Initially established in 1999 as a pilot scheme to increase the viability of the truck-mount cleaning system in the UK, Hydro-Dynamix soon realised there was a great demand for the service it provides and saw an opportunity to create a nationwide business servicing a wide spectrum of clients with a huge variety of applications.
Launching its franchise opportunity in 2000, the company provides a surface cleaning service to all internal and external property using a number of specialist cleaning services that are unique to the truck mount system. Hydro-Dynamix has been steadily growing its franchise network, currently covering the majority of the UK, however it is still looking to recruit franchisees to expand the brand further. The majority of Hydro-Dynamix's commercial customers are local businesses, however the company does attract national accounts where the workflow management is handled by head office. There are many types of business that use Hydro-Dynamix cleaning service including health clubs, hotels and restaurants.

With Hydro-Dynamix's focus on providing great customer service - for example making sure they turn up on time, only charge the price quoted and offer free advice and guidance for all cleaning issues - the company gains a lot of business through domestic customers. As well as this Hydro-Dynamix provides a flood and fire restoration service to both commercial and domestic customers. Hydro-Dynamix provides all its franchisees with exclusive territories, meaning that they do not compete with each other for business. The company also ensures that each territory is sufficient to support at least three vans. Franchisees do not have to pay any percentage royalties, only paying a low flat monthly fee to cover the cost of support from head office.
The Hydro-Dynamix franchise package includes providing the latest truck mount unit, giving franchisees the power to clean virtually anything, which will give about 10 years of service. Franchisees will also receive solutions that will be sufficient for two to three months and ancillary equipment including cleaning heads, hoses, rotary scrubber and vacuum cleaner. Additionally franchisees will be provided with clothing, stationery, marketing pack, operating manuals and software - everything needed to present the business in a completely professional and efficient manner.
Before launching a Hydro-Dynamix business, franchisees participate in a 16 day full-time training course at the company's headquarters. During the first seven days franchisees receive basic training allowing them to get their business up and running. Following this is a more intensive training period in specific fields that will allow franchisees to offer the full range of Hydro-Dynamix services, eventually enabling franchisees to achieve internationally recognised qualifications. Hydro-Dynamix continues to provide ongoing training with refresher courses, technical update training and employee training.
Hydro-Dynamix's 24/7 technical and in-field support system, combined with centralised marketing, telesales support and advice, ensure franchisees enjoy the full backup of a national organisation. New franchisees also participate in a mentoring system, whereby they are matched to an existing franchisee who will offer them practical advice in the day to day running of their business.
Potential franchisees do not need to have had any previous experience in the domestic or commercial cleaning industries.
