With Visitors & Exhibitors from all Over the World... Greece's KEM Franchise Expo is positioning the county as a key market for international expansion in Europe and the Middle East

From the 19th to the 22nd of February the world franchise market will meet at the KEM International Franchise Exhibition, which takes place in Athens at Helexpo Palace Exhibition Center. Through a variety of exhibitors from Greece and the international marketplace, the exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to be updated on the world franchising market. With a wide range of choices, the potential investor will be able to choose the Master Franchise that best suits them for their country.

KEM 2010 will assemble a mixture of both Greek and international concepts from different business sectors, falling into the following broad categories: food & beverage, supermarkets, clothing/shoes/accessories, health & beauty, service provision, home furnishing, vending machines and miscellaneous.

The concepts to be presented are of exceptional interest and cover the following sectors: asian cuisine, bistro, sandwiches/cheese pies, fresh juices/smoothies, athletic attire & shoes, children's clothing & shoes, women's clothing & shoes, eco car wash, gyms, jewellery, tuition centres, foreign languages & IT education, real estate agencies, clothing for armed forces & hunters, dry cleaners, gifts cards, hygiene services, ink refills, hair salons, home appliances, shoe repairs, etc.

It is worth noting that exhibition space at KEM 2010 was renewed by 40 per cent of the brands that appeared last year. Despite the international crisis, franchising in Greece is making significant progress. Today more than 650 franchise companies operate in the country, 180 of which are brands which has entered the country from the international market.

Over the last 12 months Greece has experienced an increase of 6.64 per cent in the number of franchise brands operating, while the number of franchise owners has increased from 16,996 this time last year to 18,405 - an increase of 8.29 per cent.

The Greek franchise industry enjoys one of the highest annual growth rates within the European Union. KEM plays a vital role as the main driving force of franchising in Greece, as it attracts thousands of qualified visitors from Greece and all over the world.

During the 11 years of its successful course, more than 180 international companies have participated at the KEM International Franchise Exhibition. These companies came in contact with prospect investors from all over the world and have signed thousands of partnership agreements, successfully expanding their network in Greece. Along with the 12th KEM Expo, the 6th KEM Vending Machine Expo and the KEM Shop Design Expo will be taking place.

The 12th KEM International Franchise Exhibition 2010 is organised under the auspices of the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce, the Franchise Association of Greece, the World Franchise Council (WFC) and the European Franchise Federation (EFF).
