New franchise Kids Bee Happy is aiming to bring the activity of sand art to children across the UK. Sand art is a fun and entertaining way for children to build creative pictures by sprinkling and layering brightly coloured sand onto specially prepared laser cut cards.

Sand art is a product that suits children aged from two to teenagers. The way the picture builds lets the children be as imaginative and creative as they like, while at the same time ensuring a flawless picture is created every time.

The Kids Bee Happy franchise package is priced at £2,495 +VAT and includes everything that franchise owner needs to get started, including stock, all equipment and marketing materials, and exclusive postcode territories.

“We launched the franchise in Glasgow’s Braehead and the response was amazing,” said Alistair Patterson, Managing Director of Kids Bee Happy. “We expected that the children would really love it, but what we were unprepared for was the number of parents and grandparents that would happily bring their children back day after day for another go. Many of the parents specifically commented on how they thought the experience was really good value for money. It was a genuine pleasure to see so many children having fun with their parents, and we were overwhelmed by the numbers of enquiries that came in for party bookings.”

The Kids Bee Happy franchise can either be operated as a part-time or full-time business. According to the company running just two parties a week on average (representing less than six hours work a week) franchise owners can expect to generate total revenues of around £15,000. The company states that those wanting to work full-time can expect revenue expectations of around £60,000 to £70,000.

Patterson added: “Our revenue expectations are very realistic. The first thing that we acknowledge in our franchise package is that the majority of the people joining us will have families of their own, and so there is no point setting earnings figures based on working long hours seven days a week. Our franchise model is based on the fact that our typical franchise owner still wants time to be with their own family, and needs a business that they can work within their own family commitments.”
