Bring performing arts to the masses
Turn your passion for the performing arts into a profitable business venture with Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA 4:19)
With the popularity of talent contest TV programmes such as The X Factor showing no signs of waning, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) has launched a nationwide franchise opportunity to expand its part-time performing arts academy aimed at children aged four to 19 (LIPA 4:19) following its success in the North West of England.
LIPA 4:19 offers a safe, fun environment for children and young adults, where they can improve their dancing, singing and acting skills. The academy caters for three age groups, from Early Start 4:6 and Academy 7:15 to Academy 16+. With over 12 million people under the age of 19 in the UK, LIPA 4:19 franchisees will have plenty of scope to grow their businesses.
Established in 2003, LIPA 4:19 was developed by founding principal and CEO Mark Featherstone-Witty to harness and develop the talent of four to 19 year-olds. The parent performing arts institution LIPA University was established in 1995 and is based in the old school of its lead patron Sir Paul McCartney. The Guardian University Guide 2009 has rated LIPA the top UK University for Dance and Drama.
LIPA 4:19 offers prospective franchisees the opportunity to become the principal of their own academy. The investment opportunity is flexible - franchisees can take a hands-on role and help teach the classes (providing they have a teaching qualification) or alternatively can take a managerial role and oversee the running of the academy and leave the teachers to run the classes.
'As part of the franchise package new LIPA franchisees are put on a training course held at the LIPA performing arts academy, where they receive a thorough induction into the marketplace, teaching style, curriculum and operations,' explains Mark. 'To complement the course, franchisees are given an operations manual to refer to for the duration of their trading licence. Franchisees also benefit from access to proven marketing strategies used by existing LIPA 4:19 academies and help establishing their franchise from the support team.
'All franchisees will also be invited to LIPA events including Master Classes. Previous Master Class providers include Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ian McKellen, Dawn French and Robin Gibb. Franchisees have the satisfaction of being able to offer students of all ages with the opportunity to take accredited examinations in all three disciplines.'
