Ray Bushell: London House is a full British Franchise Association member, has a professional image and enjoys an excellent reputation with its franchisees. The business also utilises my skills acquired in the Army and more recently as a Practice & Operations Manager.
Q: What was your impression of the Franchisee Training Programme?
RB: I found the course challenging, but in a good way. I have learned the basic skills essential to embark on a career with London House. Overall it was superb and definitely provided value for money.
The classroom work was well structured - certainly not death by PowerPoint! - and the interactive discussions between student and trainer were invaluable. However, they are no substitute for the real thing. I was sent out in the field for practical training and I'm sure this 'live' work sets London House apart from other franchises.
The training manual is excellent - clearly much time, effort and thought has gone into it. It is written in a clear and concise manner and is very user friendly. Additionally, there is a comprehensive operations manual which provides the answers to the majority of questions.
Q: How did you find the staff at head office?
RB: All the staff are helpful and supportive - I felt comfortable asking questions. I'spent a day going over the marketing side with sales and marketing specialist Gil Moolenaar which was of enormous benefit. I had some previous marketing knowledge, but still found Gil's session extremely useful. To those without marketing experience, this is a must.
Additionally my half day with Managing Director Godfrey Lancashire was first class. He reinforced the ethics of London House and the importance of professionalism in the industry. The overall presentation of the course by co-Founder Brian Hughes gets a 10 out of 10. What this man doesn't know about the business isn't worth knowing!
Q: What is your overall feedback on London House's pre-launch training?
RB: I would have no hesitation in speaking to prospective franchisees to provide an independent view on such an excellent programme.
