Shared success

To bring the network closer together, London House invite all of their franchise owners to their annual Franchise Owners London House Conference and 2012 proved to be the biggest success yet

Each year London House franchise owners come together to celebrate, share, debate and end the year with a bang. This year was no exception, being the biggest and best yet for the London House team.

Over 30 of the Regional Managers from across the country came to the unmissable event, held at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes. Each year London House promises a worthy day of presentations on a range of matters, workshops and a chance for powerful networking within the group.

Franchising expert Gary Rigby from FDS Southern kicked off the day with an informative presentation on why ‘business format franchising is so successful.’ This was extremely fitting for London House with the talk focussing on things such as brand image, reputation, quality and strength.

The conference continued with fascinating insights from Daniel Blake of UK Global Group and Dan Jackson of Chartis on why professional indemnity insurance is so important. Ivor Guthrie of The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) followed with the many benefits of being a member of the FSB and the support that the Federation can and does give to its 200,000 members. Lastly, Martin Cliffe (IFA) finished with an enlightening presentation on how to make the best use of our personal savings and assets to try and ensure a happy retirement. All were invaluable to the London House members and why owners thoroughly enjoy being a part of this such supportive network. Gary said: “Congratulations again on a great conference, the contents were very interesting and informative, the franchise owners were very positive; London House are to be applauded for the team’s commitment.”

Franchise owners were also given the opportunity to voice their own opinions on what they wanted from London House. All of the ideas were then discussed in an open forum and debated. David DeGeorgio of London House Ipswich & Colchester said: “It was a fantastic day, great variety of speakers with valuable and interesting topics. I have been a franchise owner for eight years now and every year I look forward to the conference and meeting those new to the group.” Every year at the conference we also see a prize go to the “Franchise Owner of the Year”. London House head office has no involvement in its result and is left entirely down to the votes from the franchise owners themselves; they call it a ‘Players’ Player of the Year.’

With no surprise from other franchise owners, 2012 saw a well deserving David DeGeorgio of London House, Ipswich & Colchester take the award home. David is a valued member of the London House network and readily gives his help and support to all of the other franchise owners. David explains: “Through my debt recovery services I have slowly become recognised within the network and I have always aimed to be a support to the other franchise owners. I remember when I first started and if I can help them, then I will be helping the group overall.”

David has become one of the most highly experienced commercial debt recovery specialists in his local area within the group and London House would like to congratulate him on his success and thank him for all his support within the network.
