After taking over an existing franchise in 2006, MOLLY'MAID Franchise Owners Karen Egan and Wendy Campagno have almost doubled their capacity and are targeting a turnover of over £250,000
With seven MOLLY MAID cars on the road and a projected turnover in excess of £250,000, franchisees Karen Egan and her sister Wendy Campagno (pictured L-R) are on target with their business plan and are confident that they will qualify for the MOLLY MAID travel incentive scheme next year.
'MOLLY MAID sets sales growth targets for the Franchise Owners every year,' explains Karen. 'Those that meet the requirements win an all expenses paid holiday. In the past MOLLY MAID Franchise Owners have holidayed in Mexico, Antigua and Crete. Next year the holiday destination is the Caribbean, which would be a nice reward for our hard work!
'Before we became franchisees Wendy and I were both self-employed, I owned a shop and Wendy was a bookseller. We sold the businesses when we moved from the area and began researching potential business ventures within Aylesbury. We spotted an advert for the MOLLY MAID franchise in the Dalton's paper and although we had not intended to invest in a franchise initially, the thought of buying into a proven business model with a support and training package was appealing.
'We knew MOLLY MAID was a reputable company and believed it to be the best residential cleaning service provider so decided to arrange a meeting with the Franchise Owner and CEO of MOLLY MAID Pam Bader OBE. Pam was incredibly helpful, she answered all our questions and highlighted the good and bad aspects of running a franchise, so that we felt completely confident in our decision.'
All new MOLLY MAID Franchise Owners are provided with a one-week residential training course that covers all aspects of running a business from working out cleaning quotes to staff recruitment and training. New Franchise Owners also have support from day one, which helped Karen and Wendy adjust to the cleaning industry quickly.
'When we first took over the Aylesbury-based MOLLY MAID territory in 2006, members of the MOLLY MAID support office team visited us frequently to ensure the launch went smoothly and to be nearby to answer any of our questions directly,' enthuses Karen. 'Now if we have a problem the support office and other MOLLY MAID franchisees are only a phone call away and will call us from time to time to check everything is in order.
'The best thing about running your own business is being in control and seeing everything come together when you make the right decisions. We started with four cars operating and in order to meet the growing demand for our cleaning service we have invested in three more cars and the staff to fill them. Achieving the targets we and MOLLY MAID set gives us a real sense of job satisfaction.'
