AIRE SERV JOINS FORCES WITH MR ELECTRIC

C.C. Houlston (Franchising) Ltd the master licensee for the successful Mr Electric UK operation, has announced the acquisition of Aire Serv UK for an undisclosed sum.

Aire Serv is a rapidly expanding international air conditioning, heating and refrigeration contracting company, with almost 100 offices in the UK, the USA, Canada and Saudi Arabia. As a result of the acquisition C.C. Houlston (Franchising) Ltd will be the management company for over 60 franchises across the UK.

As Clive Houlston, managing director of C.C. Houlston (Franchising) Ltd explains: 'Bringing Aire Serv and Mr Electric together is an exciting development which will enable us to benefit our franchise partners and clients, via a unique one stop shop service for electrical and heating needs whether a commercial or domestic customer.'

We will continue to operate the Aire Serv brand strengthening its presence over the years to come with both companies offering 24 hour, seven days a week availability at no extra cost and standard fixed pricing.

The Mr Electric concept was first launched in the UK in 1997. Since its management buyout in 2003 by C.C. Houlston (Franchising) Ltd, the company has seen rapid growth. The network and system sales have more than doubled and it has established Mr Electric as a quality brand working with key strategic partners such as npower and Homeserve.

The market for air conditioning in the UK is experiencing substantial growth partly led by changes in legislation. The successful team that grew the Mr Electric business expect to see the same exciting growth for the Aire Serv brand
