No+Vello, a permanent hair removal clinic franchise, is planning to launch a further 25 clinics in the UK over the next six months.

Since 2007 No+Vello has opened over 1,200 clinics across 13 countries worldwide. The company has already found success in the UK with its first clinic launching in Soho in February 2011, which was followed by branches opening in London’s Brixton, Islington, Shepard’s Bush and Croydon.

The clinics offer consumers an affordable option for permanent hair removal using intense pulsed light treatment (IPL) techniques at a flat rate of £39 per area for both men and women, which according to No+Vello, makes its treatments up to 70 per cent cheaper than its average competitor prices.

The company states that its franchise owners benefit from low start up costs and access to patented hardware, territory exclusivity, clinical equipment and industry-leading training. Franchise owners will need to provide a suitable premises and one therapist.

IPL treatment is based on technology that delivers rapid pulses of high intensity light to the area that is being treated. The light energy is converted to heat, which destroys the hair follicle from the base inhibiting future growth.

Juan Cardenal, Operations Director at No+Vello UK, said: “Despite a general downturn on the high street No+Vello is proving that its internationally successful business model can be equally profitable in the UK.

“With our current UK clinics projecting an average net profit of £85,000 by 2013/14 the figures speak for themselves; we are looking forward to seeing many more No+Vello clinics on UK high streets in the near future.”
