Residential property letting and estate agency franchise Northwood has relocated its head office within Hampshire to accommodate expansion. The company, which has been based in Southampton for 12 years, has moved to a 220-acre business park near Portsmouth.

Northwood oversees and provides support to franchise owners across the UK and is well on its way to reaching its target of 100 franchised locations. A £90,000 refit has been completed to The Main Barn, at the Cams Estate in Fareham. The refurbishment includes a glass-feature mezzanine floor being built to extend office space.

"Southampton has been our nerve centre for 12 years but with our current expansion plans there are compelling reasons to relocate to a standalone premises at Cams Estate," said Director Gemma Goodson. "This is an exciting new phase in the development of the Northwood business - our new franchise office set in the lovely countryside of Cams Hall provides us with the kind of working and training environment that reflects the company's professionalism and forward-thinking attitude.

"Training people is at the core of our culture and we are proud of the kind of innovative and professional training programmes we offer franchise owners and their staff. New franchise owners, for example, spend three weeks in our bespoke training suites learning how to run the business model before going out for a further three weeks of field-based training.

"The new location means franchise owners can walk into the training centre from local hotels in Fareham, which should provide a local boost to the hospitality industry. Local transport links are excellent and personal security was also another plus. We couldn't wait to move in!"
