Pizza Hut Delivery: An opportunity for growth

Pizza Hut Delivery’s Chief Development Officer, John Aizlewood, explains why, thanks to several key initiatives, 2015 is set to be the brand’s strongest year yet.

Pizza Hut Delivery’s Chief Development Officer, John Aizlewood, celebrated a record year of openings in 2014, and 2015 looks set to be even stronger. With a development incentive in place for new franchise owners until the end of September 2015(1), interest and uptake in store openings has never been better.

Pizza Hut Delivery launched its development incentive a little over two years ago and due to its success, has extended it until the end of September 2015. The incentive can be worth as much as £60,000 per new store opened, and John says that has already been put to use by both new and existing franchise owners.

He comments: “Pizza Hut Delivery is one of the fastest-growing pizza delivery brands in the UK. We’re opening in new towns and cities on a regular basis, through our equity opening programme as well as that of our franchise owners. With a continued focus on the customer experience, whether that is through menu news, accessibility, service or value, at Pizza Hut Delivery, we continually task ourselves to improving the brand’s position in the marketplace.”

Pizza Hut Delivery now sees an opportunity to double its current store number of 350 in the UK. Opening its first delivery unit 25 years ago and taking on board its first franchise owner in 2001, the brand now has over 75 franchise owners operating the majority of the estate. John says that it is through working closely with its franchise owner partners in all areas of the business, that the business has grown from strength to strength in recent years.

In order to maintain its growth, Pizza Hut Delivery is looking for new franchise owners and new sites across the country. John concludes: “We have a dedicated franchise owner recruitment team and site acquisitions team in place to guide potential partners through the whole process.”
