Peter has designs on continued success

Young entrepreneur Peter Richman has been celebrating three landmarks for his Plug & Play business - the third anniversary of his first Plug & Play Design office in Guildford, a 300 per cent growth in his business over the past year and the sale of his first franchise, in Southampton.

In April 2009, Plug & Play Design had two employees, which has now grown to eight permanent staff. Peter, 24, attributes the 300 per cent growth to an increased understanding by customers of the accountability of digital marketing.

Plug & Play Design specialises in digital marketing, designing websites, developing branding, managing e-commerce and printing for national and regional companies.

He says: "During the recession, marketing heads have been driven to keeping their businesses afloat while justifying their spend. Investing in web marketing is more influential and accountable - you can measure it, see its impact, and evaluate the investment."

Peter continues: "Without the larger overheads of a London agency, we can project our resources into our client's marketing strategy, rather than the high costs of living in the city."

In the next 12 months, Peter aims to double the company's size and open three more franchises in the next three months.
