England rugby union legend and Premier Sport ambassador Lawrence Dallaglio recently joined a number of Premier Sport franchise owners in Upminster to host a sports day for 90 children at a local school.

During the day a mix of boys and girls aged between six and 12 learnt a variety a new rugby skills and were also taught about the importance of keeping active through sport.

During the session, Dallaglio himself delivered coaching in Tag Rugby before giving an inspirational speech about the importance of sport in his life and his belief in a healthy, active lifestyle. Reflecting on the session, Dallaglio said: “It’s crucial for children to understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to stay active by participating in sport all year round.

“As a former professional sportsman, I understand the importance of high quality coaching from an early age and that’s why I’m proud to endorse Premier Sport and the outstanding work of its coaching team. It’s only through the provision of well organised, dedicated coaches throughout the country that we’ll see our children enjoy playing sport and reaching their full potential, regardless of their level, which is why I’m 110 per cent behind Premier Sport and its aims.”

Premier Sport is the UK’s leading sports coaching company for children and works closely with a team of ambassadors that also includes Olympic swimming champion Duncan Goodhew, MBE and former Great Britain rugby league captain Paul Sculthorpe.

Luke Miles, a Director at Premier Sport, says that the company is always looking for talented individuals to join its franchise network. “It has been a landmark year for sport and there is now a real desire to leave a lasting legacy for young people. We are looking to recruit people that have a passion for sport and the drive and determination to manage their own franchise territory. This really is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidates and I would urge them to apply immediately.”
