Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) has announced its position of Chair has been filled jointly by Louise Harris, Franchise Director of Wilkins Chimney Sweep, and Louise Bruce, Managing Director of Big Red Box PR.

Louise Harris has experience of being both franchise owner and a franchisor. Harris, along with her husband Peter, started franchising their business Wilkins Chimney Sweep Ltd in late 2010 and they now have seven franchise owners trading across the UK. Harris has also won the EWIF New Woman Franchisor of the Year Award 2012.

Louise Bruce runs Big Red Box PR, which specialises in offering PR services to the UK franchise sector. Her current franchise clients include Wilkins Chimney Sweep, Alex Clark Lettings Franchise and 7 Camicie Cheltenham.

In a joint statement Harris and Bruce said: “We are delighted that the EWIF members have voted us to be their new co Chairs and are looking forward to increasing awareness of the organisation in the coming months."

The position of EWIF Chair became available after founder Clive Sawyer stepped down from the role. He said: “I am delighted that Louise Harris and Louise Bruce have stepped forward to take over the running of EWIF, an organisation I set up in 2008 and ran for four years. However I now feel the time is right for new blood to take it forward and I’m pleased to hand over the baton to the two Louise’s with my very best wishes. I am going to remain a Director of EWIF and will still be actively involved.”
