Ripples, a bathroom retail franchise, has joined forces with UK charity Wherever the Need (WTN) to provide toilet facilities and clean drinking water to a village in India. WTN provides ecosan (composting) toilets that are clean and disease free and clean drinking water to third world and developing countries.

The project Ripples has undertaken is the village of Arasur five miles from Pondicherry in India, which is home to about 500 people.

Ripples is keen to use its high profile image in the bathroom industry to raise awareness and funds to support those in need. It will do so by coordinating a number of fundraising events, hoping to raise £22,000 and the money raised will be invested in the village of Arasura in India.

Once complete, this project will be long-term and sustainable and make a positive and profound impact on the lives of a village community, especially women and children.
