Ripples headed for network expansion in 2010

With an unprecedented collection of industry awards and a thriving network of showrooms, bathroom design company Ripples is seeking to capitalise upon interest in the brand by recruiting five new franchise owners in 2010

A new franchise recruitment drive is being put into effect by premier bathroom retailer Ripples. The company, which has grown to a network of 17 locations since it was founded in Bath almost 22 years ago, is seeking individuals and partnerships to open five new franchises across the UK in 2010.

"In the last two decades Ripples has grown from being a unique, innovative new bathroom concept into one of the leading and fastest growing independent bathroom retail chains in the UK," says the company Founder Roger Kyme. "We have taken talented designers, quality products and inspirational showrooms and created a winning formula."

Upon its launch Roger identified his aim as to create "an environment and service that went beyond just the simple hardware of what goes into a bathroom." He continues: "The once humble bathroom should be more than just a place for personal should be a sanctuary, a place to escape and relax. Ripples was never meant to be about just selling bathrooms. It was based on design solutions and creating a world of style and quality where you could envisage and make real your own dream of what you wanted a bathroom to be."

Ripples showrooms specialise in designing and creating bespoke, luxury bathroom spaces. Ripples now employs over 30 designers who embrace the challenge of creating unique bathrooms that are tailored to individual needs. As a result, the company has received more than 47 industry awards in its 22 years of trading, which it believes is more than any other bathroom retailer. Ripples is looking for individuals or partners to open Ripples luxury bathroom showrooms throughout the UK. The business is ideally targeting partner teams, able to divide the shop management and administrative duties between them. "Ripples has franchise owners from backgrounds as diverse as hairdressing, advertising and accountancy, as no previous experience is needed," adds Roger. "We provide in-depth product and business method training at our office in Bath.

"While you are being trained we will design your showroom and help you choose products, producing detailed architectural drawings, lighting plans and individual displays. Further support is provided in recruiting and training staff and negotiating special buying terms and we will continue to support you throughout your launch and on an ongoing basis as you grow your business."

Applications are sought across the UK, with key areas identified as Sutton Coldfield, Cambridge, Derbyshire, Exeter, South Wales and Hertfordshire.
