100th franchisee for Riverford Organic Vegetables

Organic vegetable box scheme Riverford Organic Vegetables has signed its 100th franchisee, Dave Hanlon. Dave will distribute seasonal vegetables to customers across Stockport and Macclesfield.

Riverford's Commercial Director Ian Bradley says: 'I am delighted to welcome Dave Hanlon to Riverford and wish him great success with his business. Franchisees enable the company to deliver its produce to customers by the most direct route possible, by bringing fresh vegetables straight to their doors. The local distributors play a vital role in helping Riverford keep the business to a local, responsive scale.'

Riverford Organic Vegetables is a family owned business and appeared in the Sunday Times 2007 Fast Track 100 list as a company with one of the fastest scales of growth. The company launched 22 years ago, with one man a tractors and three acres of lannd. Today there are four farms and 350 members of staff. Riverford is committed to low food miles, local employment and supporting local farmers.
