Workshops prove to be a big success for Safeclean

Carpet and upholstery cleaning franchise Safeclean reports on its series of annual workshops.

Safeclean held another series of its successful annual workshops in June, spread across four locations in the UK.

Steve Calvert, Safeclean's Franchise Operations Manager, comments: "The aim of the workshops are to allow the network the opportunity to share any queries or comments not just with us at head office, but with each other.

"It's great because we have such a mix of different aged franchises, some of who have been with us coming up to 30 years and others for just a few months. They are all able to share their experiences and also share fresh and new initiatives."

"It's the only way we get to know what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong and luckily for me, the majority of the comments were positive. We know we can never be perfect, that's not what we are trying to achieve, but its good to hear that so much of what we are doing is good."

Safeclean believes that communication is one of the key elements to the company's 40-year success and this is shown on the workshop agenda, which involved going around the room and asking each individual franchise owner what they liked and disliked about the franchise.

Steve himself is new to the franchise, having only joined the company as Franchise Manager at the start of June. "Its great to be part of such a long-established franchise, which is already proven to be a success," says Steve. "I've been in the franchise industry for over 15 years and hope some of the experience I have can be transferred to make this franchise even more successful and stand out from the rest."

As well as the workshops, Safeclean holds annual award ceremonies at which the company recognises the achievements of its franchise owners over the past 12 months.

"We have the main Safeclean Franchisee of the Year award," explains Andy Earnshaw, Field Services and Franchise Director, "but we also like to acknowledge some of the other high achievers so include awards for Highest Turnover, Special Achievement and Service Technician. It creates real excitement among the franchise owners and shows them that we do appreciate their efforts."
