Almost 80 franchisees were nominated for the award for their achievements in maintaining high standards and providing an excellent level of customer service however, Mike who successfully managed to increase his business by almost 50 per cent in his fifth year of trading was picked as the overall winner.

Mike says: 'My wife and son help me run my Safeclean franchise, it has been a lot of hard work and commitment but also very rewarding. 'I'm delighted that our efforts have been recognised by my customers and now Head Office. I have had to purchase a second van to help with the extra workload the Peterborough area will bring.'

Safeclean has over 70 franchisees in its UK network and has been in operation for over 35 years. Safeclean's Franchise Operations Manager Paul Fennell says: 'The company chose Mike as the winner because he has achieved turnover levels and growth which set a fantastic example to the other franchisees.

'His achievements are exceptional for an established business in a difficult part of the UK. Mike is committed, enthusiastic and continues to drive his business forward by listening to his customers and offering a fantastic service.
