Tim Shaw, Safeclean

I've been running my Safeclean franchise with my wife Nicola for 11 years and I still find everyday different, fresh and interesting. I really enjoy meeting people and providing a high quality cleaning service that our customers are happy with. When we first started our franchise we said that we wanted to offer a service that we would want for ourselves, which we have always stuck to.

Originally I was working as a non-foods buyer in a cash and carry, however I wanted a change and when offered voluntary redundancy I decided to take it and look into franchising. I was at a franchise exhibition with my wife when I came across the Safeclean stand. We went to the Safeclean 'Discovery' day at their head office in Oxford and after speaking to the franchisor and franchisees we liked what we saw and heard... soon afterwards we signed up! Our area is a large rural Safeclean territory, and we continue to grow the business both in turnover and also being at the top of the industry in technology and service. 2008 is already improving on last years' £75,000 turnover.
