ServiceMaster Director appointed Chairman of the BDMA

Multi-brand franchisor ServiceMaster has had the high respect it commands within the damage management sector rewarded with the election of one of its directors to the chairmanship of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA).

ServiceMaster operates a family of franchise brands providing specialist cleaning and restorative services including Trugreen, Furniture Medic and Merry Maids. The company's Director of Supply and Communication Don Pringle, who had been vice chair for the BDMA for the past two years, had his appointment confirmed at the association's 10th anniversary convention at Chesford Grange near Warwick.

"I am thrilled to be involved with the BDMA and over the last two years have been delighted to see the achievements that have been made particularly in developing closer working relationships with the wider insurance industry," said Don. "As Chairman I hope to be able to continue to work alongside the rest of the Executive to support both the BDMA members and the industry as a whole."

Outgoing Chairman Emma Dadson added: "The BDMA is in an excellent position at present, with a greater profile and prominence than ever before, and Don will I am sure do an outstanding job of taking the BDMA forward to the next stage of its development."

The BDMA has also honoured ServiceMaster through nominations in its Damage Management Awards. ServiceMaster's Michal Kogut was shortlisted for Damage Management Technician of the Year while the company's Wellington Aviation Museum project which was a finalist in the Damage Management Project of the Decade.
