Talking points from ServiceMaster’s October Conference
Franchise Development Services’ Jess Bains recently attended ServiceMaster’s Residential Conference and discovered some key talking points.
On October 11 2014, Jess Baines, Franchise Resales Consultant at FDS, attended ServiceMaster’s Residential Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester, along with more than 60 ServiceMaster franchise owners.
Also in attendance were key members of the ServiceMaster team, including Managing Director Alan Lewin. The conference marked a year of change for the company, and the packed agenda served both as a valuable launch pad to it’s focused new vision for all of its brands and a chance to celebrate the achievements of its personnel.
ServiceMaster is targeting rapid growth in its customer base, while retaining the best-in-class service it delivers to them and remaining a great place to work and sound investment for its employees.
Its strategy for sales growth includes geographical expansion and an expanded product and service line to attract new clients and enable even better service for them.
The conference was a fantastic opportunity for the diverse franchise owners from each of the leading brands to exchange ideas and opinion to this end, and typifies the robust support and commitment that ServiceMaster consistently delivers to them.
Jess, who has 14 years’ industry experience, gave a well-received 20-minute presentation on the resales process, and heard talks from other hand-picked speakers including The Positive Company founder Stuart Baldwin- a thought leader in the fields of Performance, Engagement and Happiness.
Jess says: “Stuart Baldwin was an amazing speaker, and incredibly empowering. I would highly recommend other franchisors have a look at what he has to offer. I thought his advice on achieving and maintaining focus was particularly astute.”
He concludes: “I would like to thank the ServiceMaster team for the warm welcome I received; it was a pleasure to meet them and some of their 300-strong network of franchisors.”
