Launched in Norwich 20 years ago, Signs Express is now one of the UK’s largest signs and designs franchise with over 70 branches nationwide. Recently the Signs Express Norwich headquarters put something back into the community, by installing signage for a new hairdressing academy at the local Hellesdon High School. Both external and interior signs were provided, making the salon more like a working environment than a learning facility.

The students of the local school gave Signs Express (Norwich) an initial design brief and the design team it recreated using the latest CAD-based software and transferring the artwork into 3D signage for the interior wall and glass effect externally.

The hair salon has now been given its own identity within the school’s own branding, and now gives the impression of a professional, working salon and a realistic environment for the students to work in.

Paul Duncan, Director of Technology at Hellesdon High School, commented: “We are delighted with the finished results from Signs Express who not only suggested the materials to use in order to create the look we were after, but also installed the final signage in time for our open day. It’s really made the salon come to life and added the professional look and feel of a working salon we were trying to achieve.”
