Signs Express: Flying the flag in British GT

Avid motor sport fans at Signs Express (Reading) were delighted to provide exciting new racing graphics for a 2004 Porsche 996 GT3 cup car used by Hawthorns Motorsport in the British GT. Driven by Rod Barrett and Swedish driver Jan Persson, the Porsche (pic above) has a flag design on either side of the car, the British flag on one side and the Swedish flag on the other.

Signs Express centre owner Martin Prodger says: 'We have been delighted to work with Hawthorns. They recently changed their race car from a BMW for the new season and required exciting new graphics to reflect the fast moving nature of the sport. We wanted to represent the nationalities of the drivers and using a flag design was a great way to achieve this. With a bit of clever design, we managed to achieve a feeling of motion in the flag graphics and Jacob Thomas, our graphics specialist, did a great job fitting the vinyls into the vehicles' contours creating a bright and highly visible livery.'
