The Signs Express (Crawley) franchise owner has completed a project that involved creating a new sign to welcome workers and visitors to the Manor Royal Business District.

As a Manor Royal-based business, Signs Express (Crawley) faced competition from three other sign companies in the area to win the contract to provide the new look external signs, but it was the signage specialist’s innovative design ideas that caught the eye of the council panel.

The main brief was to produce signage that would maintain and represent the status of the business district as a modern, dynamic business destination and the new signs needed to fit with its new image.

The new gateway sign which uses aluminium panels rolled to form a unique curved shaped ‘S’ was designed to follow on from the ribbon logo provided by the council as part of the new branding. The edges and unique angler faces feature digitally printed corporate colours produced on anti peel vinyl and include the logo to both sides of the sign.

Councillor Claire Denman, Crawley Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, said: “The new signage creates a fantastic entry point to Manor Royal and embodies everything we want the Business District to be.

“It provides firms already on Manor Royal and those thinking of moving here with yet another reason to do business in Crawley. We are really keen to support businesses to continue the work that has started.”
