When car company, Smart of York, invited local primary school children to create an eye catching design for the next Mercedes-Benz Smart car, they were inundated with entries. The competition was created to engage the local community - with entrants submitting imaginative and artistic designs which ranged from Union flags to under-sea worlds.

Once the competition was decided, Umpleby's winning eco-inspired design was applied to a real Smart car by Signs Express (York) and is now whizzing around the streets of York for all to see.

Ian Dawson, owner of Signs Express (York), said: "We were delighted to make Hannah's eco inspired design come to life, the team did a great job and the finished work looks great. It will certainly attract a great deal of attention and we canÕt wait to see it out and about in York."

Signs Express (York) provides a wide variety of signs and graphics, including a wide range of vehicle graphics such as; full car and van wraps, van sign writing, fleet graphics, decals, lorry and bus graphics as well as promotional graphics.
