Peter Mandelson unveiled a plaque, which was provided by Signs Express Harlow, at Harlow's new business incubation centre. The plaque commemorates the opening of the Harlow Enterprise Hub, which has been created to help new businesses survive and prosper in today's economic climate. The centre, which has cost £5.8 million to develop, will offer new businesses the opportunity for office space as well as support and advice on business matters.

Paul Heywood, who recently bought the Signs Express Harlow franchise, said: 'By joining the Signs Express network I am already in a fortunate position as a new business owner. The franchise route has given me access to an already tried and tested business structure as well as ongoing support so I can really appreciate what the new business centre is trying to achieve. Times are tough, especially for any business starting out, so it's important to make the most of the help that is out there.'

Speaking at the event after the unveiling, Peter Mandelsen said: 'This centre is a beacon of enterprise. Small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy and we must do everything we can to help them through the current economic downturn and a centre like this will help to do that.'

As well as providing the clear acrylic panel with full colour VJ3 print for the plaque, Signs Express Harlow also provided the centre with etched vinyl graphics for its reception area and entrance. The signage specialist also provides a complete design, manufacture and installation service for all forms of signage including interior/exterior signs, vehicle graphics, exhibition and display products, window graphics and health and safety signage for businesses in Harlow and the surrounding areas.
