Ipswich Sliderobes wins top accolade

Sliderobes in Ipswich has won the company's top prize for "Franchisee of the Year". The Belfast-based company gave the award to Lorelei Firbank's business for its outstanding growth and customer service standards, from amongst nearly 20 across the UK and Irish Republic.

Lorelei (second right) is shown here proudly displaying the award with colleagues, (from left to right) Lee Hyland, Sandra Britton and David Eade. The showroom, which is on Goddard Road, close to Asda opened in January 2004. It was off to a flying start and continued to grow with turnover doubling from April 2004 to April 2005, and then rising by a further 50 percent to April 2006.

'The award is not just a reflection of turnover though,' said Lorelei. 'Performance was also measured on quality of workmanship, feedback from customers and our overall all round performance.'

'Our success has been based on some very sound marketing and ensuring that we get the product right first time,' she said. 'Increasingly we are getting recommendations from past customers, and that is excellent news of course.'
