Franchisees invited to judge their franchisor in secret

he 2013 Best Franchise Awards have been launched with a special online system that allows franchisees to express their opinion on a franchise in complete anonymity.

The accolades, which are sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial, are awarded on the basis of feedback from franchisees, gathered through Smith & Henderson’s Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark survey.

Smith & Henderson, a bfa-affiliate franchise consultancy, has announced that the awards are now open for franchisors to enter.

The bfa-affiliated consultancy’s system gathers its information by inviting existing franchisees to review and provide anonymous feedback on their franchise ownership experience.

The awards are free to enter and open to all franchisors, irrespective of bfa-membership status but they must have at least eight franchisees operating within the UK.

The winners will be announced in December at the 2013 Best Franchise Conference in Birmingham.

Richard Holden, Head of Franchising at Lloyds TSB Commercial, said: “We are delighted to be the official sponsor of these awards which recognise outstanding franchisors. The UK franchise market continues to display strong growth, reflected in last year’s shortlisted nominees, and plays a vital part in the UK economy. I’d like to encourage all types of franchisors to enter and wish them the best of luck.”

TaxAssist Accountants, McDonald’s, Water Babies and Cloud Bookkeeping were winners last year.
