Sports Xtra learns Dodgeball

Sports development franchise Sports Xtra has teamed with the UK Dodgeball Association to spearhead the development of the sport throughout schools nationwide. All three Sports Xtra franchisees sent their coaches on the UK's second Dodgeball course in order to take advantage of the interest generated by the release of the movie Dodgeball featuring Ben Stiller in 2004.

Nick Pinnock from the association says: 'The UKDBA is passionate about developing the sport in the UK and Sports Xtra will play a key role. We are looking forward to working with Sports Xtra and developing a school programme that delivers dodgeball taster sessions, leagues and clubs.'

Sports Xtra Managing Director Gareth Lippiatt adds: 'We expect to make further announcements on similar initiatives over the next few months and the launch of our franchise network has enabled Sports Xtra to make rapid progress on several fronts.'
