SUMO adds two new franchisees to network
Utility surveys provider to the construction industry SUMO has announced the launch of two new franchisees. Simon Foster (Bournemouth) and Richard Clish (West Yorkshire) join the 13 franchisees already established in the UK, in addition to the head office operation based in Havant, Hampshire.
SUMO uses GPR and Radio Frequency Locators to provide a fast, reliable and cost effective utility Mark Out service and now also offers a hard copy topographic mapping service illustrating the depth and location of all the utilities found during the Mark Out service.
'It's fantastic to see more new franchisees joining our hardworking and dedicated team,' says Franchise Director Colin Carnachan. 'SUMO has achieved so much over the last four years and the company's growth looks set to continue.' Richard, who will operate from a base in Pontefract, says: 'I saw SUMO in The Franchise Magazine and then went on one of their Discovery Days. It was really impressive and I made up my mind straight away. I'm very excited about it.'
Adds Simon: 'It is an excellent opportunity - SUMO has developed a market and now is just the right time to go into it.'
SUMO has taken on five new employees since the beginning of August to work for the company's rapidly expanding surveying department. The new members of staff are Bill Hartnell and Darren Whistler, both land surveyors who will be covering the Midlands and the north of the country; James Chapman, Mark Holgate who are utility surveyors; and Joanne Whitehead who will be looking after the administration. 'The new employees will enable us to take on more opportunities and really focus the topographic mapping facilities in house,' says Patrick Cullity,
