Last month TaxAssist Accountants had its highest number of new recruits on a single training course since 2005. During July 10 new franchise owners participated in the TaxAssist Accountants course and the new recruits will take the number of territories awarded to 165. TaxAssist Accountants, which provides taxation and accountancy services to small and medium-sized businesses, has also already seen demand for its October training course and has six deposits submitted for new territories.

David Paulson, Franchise Recruitment Manager, said: "There's no doubt that the recession is generating an increased interest in franchising. People are attracted to us because of our experience as an award winning franchisor, the size of our network and the strength of our brand. When people visit with us on a Franchise Discovery Day, they see first hand the benefits of our business model, the quality of the people at the Support Centre and the level of both technical and business development support that we provide."
