FiltaFry: Beating the targets...My business grows month on month

Following nine months of hard work securing contracts Filta Fry franchisee Steve Edwards is now having to turn away work, such is the interest in his on-site cooking oil microfiltration service.

Steve was initially attracted to the exclusivity of the Oxford territory and the fact that the business is based on weekly repeat business. Servicing 45 customers per week, which equates to an income of around £1,400, he is enjoying a more fulfilling and relaxed lifestyle than he did employed as a pharmaceuticals stock taker: 'I love the business and my customers are fantastic,' he states.

Although the franchise was a culture shock at first, Steve says the training was ample to get him started giving him the basics he needed: 'After two weeks of on-site training and three days at head office, the Support Manager visited for two weeks to help me get contracts. I can call Filta Fry with a problem and they will sort it straight away.'

Almost two years later he has settled into a routine and is looking forward to putting a second van on the road to capture the work he currently has to turn away. 'You'll only get out of the business what you put in,' insists Steve, 'but I'd advise anyone looking for a franchise to choose Filta Fry.'
