The Little Gym is preparing to open its seventh UK franchised centre in the next year. As well as this the company has recently promoted its Programme Director Kate Butcher to the position of Gym Director at its Hampton Hill Centre. Kate has been with The Little Gym for three years, where she initially joined as an instructor. Kate joins as the gymnasium celebrates its third birthday.

Prior to joining the team at Hampton Hill, Kate was a diving, gymnastics and trampolining coach in the West Country; having trained in diving from the age of 11, Kate competed internationally for Great Britain before gaining extensive qualifications and passing on her experience to pupils in a teaching roll.

Kate says: 'I'm so pleased to be part of a programme that adopts a holistic approach to child development, not only encouraging children to grow physical and gymnastic skills but also social, emotional and cognitive skills.

'It's a real pleasure to see the children not only learning but having lots of fun, and to be part of a team that's also encouraging to thrive through an ongoing training programme. I'm really looking forward to seeing our membership grow, allowing more children to be part of a programme that encourages them to try their best and teaches them invaluable skills for life.'

The Little Gym offers a motor skills and curriculum-based gymnastics programme for children of all abilities, from four months to 12 years. It also hosts birthday parties and school holiday camps.
