Taxi cab franchise, the pink cab achieved record profits in December 2012.

The figures show an 18 per cent increase in profits compared to the same month in 2011. The pink cab pilot business in Tetbury goes from strength-to-strength with the addition of a new driver in January – normally a time when the cab business is very quiet and cab companies are cutting back on their drivers. The pink cab business in Tetbury bucks the trend and is expanding.

Company co-founder Mark Stevenson said: “Our business philosophy is based on distinctive pink cabs that stand out from the crowd which in turn means that our advertising costs are kept to a minimum which in turn maximises our profits. This may all sound very simple but is amazing how many cab companies go to the wall as they simply focus on turnover and continuously cut fares, thus reducing profits or even posting losses.”
