The awards, which were presented at a prestigious red carpet gala dinner in London on February 19th, have become acknowledged by industry as a spotlight for entrepreneurial excellence. They are designed to bring together the UK's most dynamic and innovative businesses. A leading panel of entrepreneurs, investors and experts judged the awards. These included Duncan Bannatyne of BBC Dragons' Den, René Carayol who is one of Europe's leading speakers on e-business, Julie Meyer, CEO of Ariadne Capital, and Mike Clare, CEO of Dream.

The judges were looking for companies who are not simply entrepreneurial but are long-term businesses with real growth potential.
