Tossed, a fast-casual healthy eating venue, has opened its second franchised outlet. The outlet is located on Tottenham Court Road, a London street famous for its concentration of consumer electronics and in keeping with the heritage and tone of the street, the décor reflects quirky and vibrant images of fresh fruit and vegetables, which are given a high tech twist.

Each Tossed outlet sells a variety of freshly made hot and cold salads. Customers can choose from either a range of company created salads or make their own from a choice of over 100 ingredients, which include salad leaves, egg noddles, cous-cous and brown basmati rice. The company currently has seven outlets operating and by the end of this year is planning to have launched a further six locations.

Vincent McKevitt, founder of Tossed, says: 'What makes us different is that we offer food on a par with that found in restaurants and in terms of quality and presentation, we are a foodie's dream. We are big on taste, low in calorie. Since opening in Paddington in 2005, we have gathered a loyal following and when we open in a new neighbourhood, we become the hub of the community. People like our laid back approach, but appreciate that the food we serve is based on nutritional facts, not fads.'
