Travel Counsellors celebrate rising sales by hosting Open Day for perspective new clients

Independent travel company Travel Counsellors have reported a sales growth of 13 per cent on 2012.

The average commission earned by each Travel Counsellor is up as well by 10 per cent. The company are celebrating by open the doors at its head office in Bolton and holding the first in a series of Open Days for anyone with a passion for travel interested in enrolling in their Academy Franchise Programme.

Head of recruitment, Simon Burke commented: “We’re delighted with our success so far this year so we are keen to invite talented individuals with an interest in travel to join us. We understand that it is a big financial commitment to start your own business so we don't expect people to make that decision after a chat on the phone, an interview or after reading an information pack. Instead the Open Day was about giving attendees the chance to experience the ethos of the company and to get a real understanding of what it’s like to actually be a Travel Counsellor. We were keen to be open and honest so had a number of existing Travel Counsellors on hand-hand to answer any questions and to give a frank account of what it’s like to be part of our understanding – not the hard sell.”

The day is full of company insights which included presentations from company’s Directors, a Q&A session and the chance to watch a live recording of the company’s in-house TV webcast. Attendees were also given the opportunity to learn about award winning technology that would be at your finger-tips if they joined.

Attendee Natalie Cross commented “The day was so refreshing and I loved the open and honest approach. I do feel that I got a real insight into what it will be like once I join which I have now committed to do.

“It was really fantastic to meet so many Travel Counsellors who are running successful businesses. They reassured me that the support you get is second to none, and that you can earn decent money relatively quickly. Everyone I met at head office was so friendly; I immediately felt at ease and definitely think this was the best way for me to get a true feel for what Travel Counsellors is all about. I was particularly impressed with the company’s in-house TV studio. Their technology is really advanced and this is an innovative way for everyone to keep in touch.”
