For the second year running, Tutor Doctor, the fastest-growing ‘at-home’ tutoring franchise worldwide, was recognised as one of the Top 50 Franchises for Veterans. The franchising community has grown to play a dominant leadership role in recruiting veterans, and the Top 50 list distinguishes franchisors with more than 40 operating units that have gone above and beyond to recruit and retain veterans.

“We have experienced an overwhelming level of success in recruiting veterans and look forward to further growth as we continue to hire these natural leaders to join our system,” said Frank Milner, President of Tutor Doctor.

Each franchise featured in the Top 50 list has excelled in veteran participation by investing the time and resources to create a welcoming culture and model for veterans returning to civilian life, both as franchise owners and employees. Tutor Doctor has offered a discount of 12.5 per cent on the investment fee for veterans over the past five years, and also works with VetFran, a programme that assists returning service members in accessing franchise opportunities through training, financial assistance, and industry support.

Additionally, Tutor Doctor aims to recruit veterans through targeted campaigns via Facebook and LinkedIn. Currently, 10 per cent of Tutor Doctor franchise owners are military veterans and the company is seeking to increase that number by further expanding its veteran recruitment programmes in the upcoming years.
