Community focused US franchise TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is set to launch franchise locations across the UK. The removal franchise is initially targeting East and West Midlands, and London. Additionally, the first Scottish branch is due to be launched soon.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has built a reputation in the US for being part of the community, helping people to move homes and businesses within a small radius.

“We operate the grandma rule – to treat all our customers the way they would want their grandmother to be treated,” said UK Managing Director Mike Harrison. “And we like to get involved and give back to the community.”

Once the first franchises are up and running each branch is expecting to employ around 20 local people, in both full and part-time jobs.

“Large numbers of former local Government workers with management experience are going to be looking to invest in businesses that offer them tried and tested security,” said Harrison. “They won’t be expected to drive trucks and shift furniture as we’ve already done all of the heavy lifting to develop a rock-solid business that they can own and manage at an affordable price.”

According to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, despite the recession depots in Dublin and Belfast have been a success and the company is forecasting steady growth from a continually moving population.

“Some of our branches in the US, which is in a similar financial situation to the UK, are now employing up to 50 staff as most of our work continues to come from recommendations – from people who found us looking after their settees and tables that arrived at their new homes without a mark,” said Harrison.

The franchise fee costs £29,950 for each territory, for more information fill out the form below.
