Sponsored this year by global fitness brand Anytime Fitness, The National Franchise Exhibition showcased a diverse range of industry sectors represented by top brands including McDonald’s, Mac Tools, Ewe Move and Kare Plus. Some of the UK’s top brands had a chance to meet with the next generation of potential franchise owner, and invited strong candidates to find out more at future discovery days and meetings.

Adrian, a business owner from Coventry, explained: “I came here interested in the care industry, and after meeting with some of the UK’s leading companies, I am going away with a lot to think about. I have a follow up call booked with Kare Plus, which I am very interested in.”

Karl Dietrich, Business Development Director at Anytime Fitness, commented on the importance of the event: “We had a great two days in Birmingham. The Franchise Exhibitions has helped take us from 18 clubs to a nationally recognised brand with 170 branches across the UK - in just three years. They have become instrumental in our marketing strategy to expand the business and once again the National Franchise Exhibition has delivered quality visitors,” he said.

Minuteman Press International, experienced a busy two days, and secured a number of exciting leads. As first-time exhibitors at the spring National Franchise Exhibition, Franchise Director, George Holzmacher, was pleased with the brand’s experience, commenting: “We couldn’t be happier. The numbers have been good, but more importantly the quality of people visiting the event has been excellent. Just an hour after opening doors, we had a number of strong business leads.”

Many visitors commented on the importance of the support from the British Franchise Association (bfa). Brian from Ross-On-Wye attended one of the bfa’s seminars and commented: “Knowing that this exhibition has the backing of the British Franchise Association gives a sense of security. I’m thinking of investing a large portion of my pension into a franchise, so chose this event to explore my options.”

Adrian Goodsell, Director of Franchise Sales at Venture Marketing Group, concluded: “We’ve had a great couple of days in Birmingham, enjoying high footfall and busy stands, making this one of our most successful spring Birmingham exhibitions to date. We have received a range of positive feedback from both attendees and exhibitors, each commenting on the high calibre people and brands they had met. Overall we couldn’t be happier with the turnout and success of the event.”

Following the success of The National Franchise Exhibition, The British & International Franchise Exhibition at London Olympia on 13th and 14th March is still open for exhibitors who wish to attend, email your interest to franchise@vmgl.com.
