Glasgow to host leading franchise exhibition
The British Franchise Exhibition, incorporating the Growing Your Own Business Showcase & Conference arrives at the SECC in Glasgow on Friday 8th & Saturday 9th June 2007.
The British Franchise Exhibition also forms the focal point of Scottish Franchise Week, organised by The British Franchise Association (bfa). Scottish Franchise Week has been established to promote sustainable business in Scotland and includes a number of seminars and networking opportunities throughout the week, culminating in the British Franchise Exhibition on the Friday and Saturday.
The exhibition, which is sponsored by the bfa and the Daily Mail, is the perfect place to find out all there is to know about franchising and running businesses. Visitors to the show will be able to meet with a wide range of well-established franchised companies and assess the benefits of running their own business as part of an established franchise brand. Visitors can also meet existing franchisees to gain a clear insight into the reality of working with a particular franchisor and its business.With more than 50 major companies expected to exhibit at the show, well known franchise companies so far confirmed include; Apollo Blinds, Cartridge World UK, Corporate Jedi, David Reid Homes, Fastsigns, Revive! Auto Innovations and Threshers Group.
In addition, there will be experts from the bfa, bankers, accountants and solicitors on hand to discuss every key issue from raising finance through to legal contracts. Also not to be missed will be the series of highly informative free seminars, run by the bfa throughout the two-day event. Offering invaluable advice and featuring successful case studies, these seminars presented by leading speakers from the UK franchise industry are the perfect starting point for anyone wanting to find out more about becoming a franchisee or franchisor.
A further highlight of the exhibition will be the series of free seminars run by the bfa. They include:
- 11am & 2pm Friday and Saturday - 'An introduction to franchising' - for prospective franchisees.
- 12.30pm Friday and Saturday - 'How to franchise your business' - for prospective franchisors.

The showcase will be supported by a free conference with seminars providing practical advice and information on all aspects of growing a business.
