With over one hundred exhibitors from a vast range of sectors, there will be plenty of interesting opportunities for anyone considering owning a franchise. These include many well known franchise brands, such as McDonald’s, Kare Plus, Agency Express, Cloud Bookkeeping, Expense Reduction Analysts, Snack in the Box, Tutor Doctor, YoYo Noodle, Safeclean and Plug & Play.

The exhibition is exclusively supported by the British Franchise Association (bfa), which means that all of the exhibitors have been accredited by the association and comply with its strict code of ethics. Visitors can therefore have full confidence in the many franchised businesses on offer.

In addition to the wealth of British brands exhibiting, a multitude of well-known US brands are also expected to launch their UK franchises at the event this year. This is as a result of the US Department of Commerce granting the event Trade Fair Certification.

The Zone offers an extensive seminar programme, which will cover all aspects of franchising on an international scale.

Away from the International Zone, there is a comprehensive range of seminars and panel discussions covering all aspects of franchising. This is valuable information for budding entrepreneurs at any stage of the franchise process, whether looking for an introduction or ready to sign up. Experts from the bfa, members of the legal and financial professions and business advisors will all be on hand to share their knowledge. Specialist speakers will also host seminars addressing subjects such as high-level investment franchising and growing your own business.

For those who are new to franchising, the Expert Advice Clinic is the perfect place to start. Lawyers, consultants and franchisors will be available to discuss the needs of individual visitors and direct them to the right areas of the exhibition to speak to the advisors that can provide specific advice.

At The Careers Clinic, consultants will assess visitors’ experience and interests and guide them on carving out their next career move. The Finance Clinic may be the first move forward from here, where budding entrepreneurs are helped to understand the key finance issues, as well as perfecting their business plan – the most important document required to secure funding.

Franchisors and already established franchise owners will share their experiences and offer valuable guidance and support at the exhibition. Real Franchise Stories is the area of the exhibition in which visitors can hear first hand accounts from people who have made the transition from employee to franchise owner. There will be the opportunity for open discussion while these speakers share anecdotes and useful tips on how to progress.
