Driver Hire’s Network Development Director Tony Goacher said: “The interest and demand for Driver Hire franchises speaks volumes about the strength of our business and the outlook for the recruitment industry in general.

“Our network as a whole rounded off last year with a flourish and we’ve maintained that momentum during the early weeks of the new financial year, which is great news for all our franchisees."

Driver Hire is looking to continue its network growth over the coming months and has new territories available in locations across the UK. “The driver recruitment market is worth an estimated £2bn annually,” Goacher said.

“Online shopping is feeding demand for final mile delivery drivers and economic uncertainty means many businesses are using temporary labour to create a flexible workforce. Add to that Driver Hire’s 30 years of success and our proven franchise model and it’s easy to see why a Driver Hire franchise is such an attractive proposition.”

One of the latest franchisees to join the network is former bank worker Jon Bell. Bell commented: “When Derby became available – an area I know well – I decided the time was right to invest.

“I have a fair bit of industry experience and could see the potential in a Driver Hire franchise.”
